About Diabetes365

Welcome to Diabetes365! We hope to be your roadmap to living a healthy lifestyle with diabetes. Our goal is to be an all-inclusive resource for those living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. We understand that everyday brings a fresh set of obstacles and challenges, but we are here to offer advice and ideas to help you overcome them.

Our mission is to empower individuals with diabetes to manage their diabetes self-care with confidence, inspiration and knowledge. Our national network of health professionals and diabetes educators provide expert advice on food, fitness and self-care management to encourage early action and prevention of diabetes health- related complications.

After the founder of Diabetes365, Matt had his life changed by diabetes when his father was diagnosed; he began to see the impact that diabetes has on an individual, family, and a community. He began to meet others with diabetes and realized the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. That is when the idea for Diabetes365 was born.

At Diabetes365 we hope to provide helpful information on all areas of diabetes, while also educating others on both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. We know that living with diabetes is not easy, but we are here to help.

My name is Matt Schmidt and I am the founder of Diabetes365. I graduated from Kansas State University in 2004 with a degree in Financial Services. I have been providing life insurance to families for the last eleven years. I have been helping find life insurance for diabetics since this type of of insurance can be difficult to find. I currently reside in Pittsburgh, Penn. with my wife, Ashley and our daughter Brooklyn.

I first got involved in the diabetes community in 2010 when my father was diagnosed with diabetes. Since then I have been determined to help educate others about diabetes.
